High school foreign language courses count toward other college-prep courses. Certain programs (e.g., nursing, social work, education, etc.) may have additional requirements. Please check with the appropriate department for more information.
This is the minimum GPA requirement. Professional and certain other programs may require higher GPAs and additional prerequisite course work. Please check with the appropriate department for more information.
Students must take either the SAT or the ACT. Refer to the Application Checklist for instructions
Additional Requirements for Homeschooled Applicants
Homeschooled applicants are expected to meet the minimum admissions requirements indicated for freshman applicants. Please review the detailed requirements below for homeschooled applicants.
Complete the Self-Reported Application if your Homeschool transcript reflects a traditional high school curriculum. If you are in a non-traditional program, please include a separate statement that includes titles and descriptions of all coursework completed. Other additional information such as textbooks used, methods of teaching, and methods of evaluation and the resulting grades or structured assessments must be entered in the "Comment" box. If the additional information exceeds the amount of space given, submit an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

The application fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable and valid only for the semester indicated on the application. You may also send a money order or check payable to the University of Hawaiʻi or download the credit card authorization form (PDF).
All high school information must be submitted through the Self-Reported Application. The initial admissions decision will be based on this information. Upon request from the Office of Admissions an official transcript must be submitted directly to UH Mānoa from your high school for validation and/or scholarships. If you have attended more than one high school, you are required to submit a transcript from each school you have attended.
SAT or ACT scores must be submitted through the Self-Reported Application. The initial admissions decision will be based on this information. You may forward your test scores to UH Mānoa at any time. Our college codes are SAT 4867 and ACT 0902. Upon request from the Office of Admissions, official scores must be submitted directly to UH Mānoa from the testing agency for validation and/or scholarships. Ask your high school counselor for more information on testing locations and deadlines or visit the SAT website or the ACT website.

University of Hawai'i at Mānoa offers direct entry for high school graduates who are dedicated to completing their Bachelor of Science in nursing degree in four years. With direct entry into our nursing program, a student’s academic path is secure. Students can have confidence that they have been admitted to the nursing program while they complete their prerequisite classes in a cohort based learning model. Students enter the program in the fall of their freshman year. With the BS degree, the student is prepared for graduate education and continued career development. The student completes pre-requisites in Year 1 and begins nursing courses in year 2.

The Doctor of Medicine Early Acceptance Program for Entering Hawaiʻi Resident Freshman
The Doctor of Medicine Early Acceptance Program is not accepting new applications at this time. The program is currently undergoing a two year evaluation.
